This article describes how to change the JDK of your websphere JVM.
It´s very easy. Just go to your WebSphere administration console and click on the "server1" jvm.
Now navigate to the "Java SDKs" settings:
In the next step select the SDK you want to make default and click on the "make default" button.
At last save your configuration and restart the jvm.
The Java 7 SDK is an optinal install-package for WebSphere 8.5.5.. If not selected during inital installation, the java 7 SDK needs to be downloaded and installed seperatly. For more information consult this blog post.
